Training, Qualifications & Experience
I am a registered member of BACP British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, I adhere to their professional ethical framework. I have worked for 22 years in the NHS,starting in the Ambulance service then moving to work in therapy in community and acute settings, it was during my time working in mental health that I experienced some significant life events and realised that I wanted to train as a Counsellor, which I did over 4 years.
I work with young people from the age of 12, adults and couples, I have experience of face to face, telephone and Skype counselling, I have worked for a youth organisation on a voluntary basis in schools and colleges gaining valuable knowledge and skills. I work on a voluntary basis at a local children centre offering counselling for adults, alongside working with clients privately and for an Occupational Health Organisation.
